Agricultural Show

At the Show we looked at the prize winners.......
the sheep ........
the walking sticks ...... and

the geese.  Then we drove home.

Whenever I go out and about I like to head for the coast.  Yesterday we went to the Nevern Show and on the way back (via the pub) we stopped off at the beach for a nice stroll.

Natural knitting

It's time for me to get on with the knitting as I have a number of orders for my dolls.  These natural dyed yarns are Shetland DK and have been spun and hand dyed by a fellow knitter.  Nevern Show is on today, so perhaps the crafting can wait until this evening.

Buttons

In September I am planning to be at a craft show where I will  be selling items such as vintage and recycled buttons.  Since the last show I have been thinking about improving the presentation of the buttons and hope to preview some examples on the blog.  In the meantime here are a few photos of buttons on the old style packaging.

Walking on the beach

We went for a walk on Amroth beach last Sunday, and crunched our way over the pebbles and dead crabs.  I liked the sage green colour of this creature of the sea.
The blackberries are now starting to form amongst the bramble bushes.  This basket is just the right size for some, ladylike, blackberry picking.

Blackcurrants

Summer lasted about 3 weeks here.  Today it is cloudy but dry, so far.  There are still a few blackcurrants left on the bush and so we will be having blackcurrant and raspberry pudding for tea.  The blackbirds will probably help themselves to the remaining fruit.
